Re: VersaLink C405 - Failed login attempt limit has been reached.

Reboot allowed them to try again, it does not reset the password.

The default password used to always be 1111, but due to California Password Law (SB-327) Xerox had to change it to your devices SN in newer versions of firmware, which has caused a lot of people to get locked out of their devices (Did not read the release notes)

Sadly, you can no longer just reboot and try again either. You need to wait I think 24 hours, or wipe the device back to defaults.

I have this problem on a different model.  Did the reboot just unlock the machine so that the current password could be used or did it reset to the default password?

The problem is solved.

Another reboot of the printer solved the problem finally.

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer

Hello,

I have a problem, if I want to access the webinterface of VersaLink C405 I get following message:

Failed login attempt limit has been reached. Access denied.

Restarting the printer and using another computer / browser doesn't help.

How can I solve this problem?

Best regards

Robin
