Hello,
I have the same problem with my Xerox WC 7835.
I have tried to altboot with new firmware but the machine stays on the energy star screen whatever I do.
The machine was working perfectly until I went away for a week. I Powered the machine down before I left and when I returned and powered on it would not move beyond the energy star screen ("Powering up...do not switch off while power up in progress...)
I would like to try with a new SD card but cannot find a source to purchase the card from xerox or a card image to create my own. I have also tried with a new HDD (actually SSD) with no success. I am trying the altboot method with a USB stick (Tried 2 USBs and both front and rear ports)
Oh and I also replaced the button battery on the board...no difference.
The last configuration report before it died tells me the software version was: 073.010.075.34540
It also says "Machine Upgrades: Not Allowed"
The sd card has this info printed on it: 237E26275 V34540(SL)
This is my only copier so I cannot make a card image from another machine.
Why do xerox not make these available for download???
If anyone has any useful info or can supply a suitable card image I would be most thankful as currently I am the proud owner of a very expensive brick!
Many Thanks,
Phil
Hello, I have the same problem with my Xerox WC 7845. SD card is corrupted. Can somebody help me with image of SD card? my e-mail: shurlk4174@gmail.com
Thanks everybody!
Hi,
It could be a defective SD card or even the SBC PWB. If you have another known working WC7855 you can try to clone the image of the SD card, otherwise you must buy a new SD card ( part no. 237E27210).
