Heya!
Thats good news, glad you got it working.
I would never be able to figure out that it actually could be the decharge lamp, thx for the information :)
I had a Xerox service tech come out and he said it was the eraser lamp/lens and it broke off the LED (which was attached just left of fuser). These pieces help clear the image for the next person to scan.
If the part was completely broken then he would have had to order a new LED/LENS however the lens just popped off so he was able to snap and glue/epoxy (it came out of a little packet and he swirled it around to get the chemical reaction going). He held it together while it dried and it slide back into machine.
Heya!
This should not be part of the fuser, I've been working with these fusers and never seen a white plastic piece in em.
The piece is probably the reason that you got the jam in the first place, hopefully it did not damage the fuser otherwise it might be a good idea to order a new one.
Thanks!
I had to release the fuser and slowly pull it out to clear a paper jam..When I did this, I noticed a long, white(some clear strip), skinny, plastic piece came out also that wasn't attached to anything (on left side of fuser).
I think that the paper jam had dislogded it and I am trying to figure out how and where it snaps back into.
It doesn't appear to be broke at either end.
Any advice??
Machine is actually operational and printing/copying/etc.
