Hello.
I was hoping to see if I can get a follow up on this post, as I am having the same issue with the same model printer.
In my case, my printer shows offline and I am not able to access it over the network, so I can't seem to use the utility to push an updated firmware.
Is there a way to boot to a usb drive? Particularly when you can't access the menu screen on the printer?
Thank you! - Jason

I am wondering if anyone can assist me. Our Versalink c405 printer will only show the splash screen and will not progress. My goal is to try and "replace" the firmware using a USB drive. I have put new .bin file in the dwld folder but it will not pick up the USB drive using the special boot modes. I know I am doing something wrong but can't put my finder on it.
Has anyone seen this issue and how do I re-plash the firmware using USB drive?
Thanks!
