Re: Win 7 driver failure, won't connect to USB

The device sticks in "Preparing print job" and never sends it anywhere.

Re: Win 7 driver failure, won't connect to USB

I was able to uninstall and re-install the driver successfully, but it still refuses to print from USB. In the devices panel it also shows a generic picture on the printer.  It has been connected to wifi and prints fine.  I am using a virtual usb port, origionally 0006, but i am now on 0001. Do I need to send this thing back for a printer that's easier to manage? This is a complete waste of time.

Win 7 driver failure, won't connect to USB

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 7 x64

We recently purchased a Xerox B215 for home office use and copying for home schooling needs.  I was able to get the WiFi to communicate with our wireless devices and print no problem, but the driver supplied will not install and says "Failed" after installation on windows 7 64bit.  I tried to install the second driver included in the suite, and it will install, but still fails to communicate via USB.  Occasionally when I open the print manager software it will show the printer and status, but prints spool forever and never seem to reach the printer via USB.  Can anyone refer me to the process of installing a driver that will just make this thing work seamlessly?  We don't even care about WiFi printing, we really just need to manualy connect to a USB and handle most of our prints.

Thanks!
