Done. Success. Just printed a beautiful Chinese Hymn (Church) Document (2-sided).
From the Windows 7 client Workstation do the following;
IP Address: 10.1.1.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: [leave-it-blank]
DNS Servers: [leave-it-blank]
From the Printer
Set IP address resolution to Static
IP Address: 10.1.1.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: [leave-it-blank]
DNS Servers: [leave-it-blank]
Then you should be able to print to the printer at IP address 10.1.1.2 and view CWIS just by putting that in your web browser address bar.
If possible, please provide me the steps of manually set-up the Cross-over which I have found one, and maybe easier than laying a 75+feet cat-5 cable through the ceilings of various rooms.
Thanks.
Since the option is not on the control panel of the printer it is safe to assume the printer does not have the option enabled.
It definitely is internal, so there would be nothing on the exterior of the device indicating if the option is there.
As for the other thing from the admin guide, the printer needs to be networked to get to its webpage (CWIS) so that whole suggestion is out, and in your case, once it is networked, it would serve no purpose to go looking since Network print is far superior to USB in every way.
All of the printers have a USB port, but without the print kit , its sole purpose is for the technician to run diagnostic software on it via laptop.
Hi, Joe,

Hi AlpenIT,
Have you tried the procedure that is outlined in the following link?
If you have, and it has not worked, then there may be one other option to try.
Please let me know if this link gets your USB port working.

What maybe all the options (2) per this aforementioned reply?
Hi, Joe,
Search USB on your site and found:

"The USB and/or Parallel Ports are options that can be purchased for use on the WorkCentre. These ports are used for direct connect printing and used in locations that do not have network connectivity. USB and Parallel printing is also supported on networked WorkCentres."
What the USB optional kit looks like? part #? is it an external device? [My WC7345 has a standard printer side USB port]
Following the steps outlined in the Article on my WC7345,
Machine status > Tools > System Settings > Connectivity and network setup >
in both Port Setting and Protocol Setting, did not find USB reference,
The Machine Configuration Report taken from the Control Panel also does not list USB in its Part 3: Connectivity.
As such, was not able to set USB on/off as directed per the pagee
Pic (edited) taken off the control panel showing 13 ports and their status
But " System Administrator’s Guide 701 P47693 WorkCentre 7328/7335/7345" , seems to suggest that I could find the USB settings/Status the following way?
"P 13 -- USB Configuration The file folder on the Properties page of Internet Services (the device’s internal web pages) contains a
folder, labeled Physical Connections. To access this folder, enter the IP address of the device in the Address line of your browser and press Enter. Click on the Properties tab, then click on the Physical Connections folder."

How to test the LAN port?
Thanks.
I have an IT guy coming Thursday to check it.
Wish me Luck on getting the Lan to do the job.
Since 2 PC's have failed and you replaced the cable it is safe to say the printer port is broken.
Anything with 0% life isn't good, but it won't stop you from getting a job to it, it just won't print when it does.
Guess you will need to get it on the LAN.
Hi, the trials Killed the Win7 laptop (disk read error), now Windows 10 laptop lists WC7345 as other device and woult not accept the Xerox Dirver.
Xerox Setup Print Driver Installer (Setup_6.159.12.1_x64.exe) did not find the printer
maybe thr printer USB Port Problems? any machine code for it? how to check to know for sure ?
one drum cartridge (A2) 0%; how bad is it before replacement is absolutely needed?
Thanks
There is no need of clearing the completed jobs because they contain nothing. They stay until a new job replaces them (around 100 job status's are held)
Print via CAT5 would require the printer to be on the LAN
As admin go to Machine status > Tools > System Settings > Connectivity and network setup > Protocol Settings > TCP/IP mode and set it to DHCP.
Plug it into the network and reboot it. When it comes back up it should be on the network assuming you have a DHCP server and the IP address will be displayed on the Machine status. If you know your networking feel free to set it to static with a custom address, subnet and gateway.
Then verify your PC has a connection to it by putting the IP addres in your web browser address bar, it should load this page:
And once it does, go get the print driver from here and install it (I would pick the Global)
If you don't have a LAN, you would need a crossover cable and a lot of manual setup to build a connection to it from both ends. I'm not jumping into that one unless needed since it involves a lot of manual settings on your printer and your PC.
