WorkCentre 7545 - fusing unit replaceable by end user ?

mostly a cost issue, so that the fuser isnt replaced on a whim

It is ordered and replaced by a technician because it is much heavier than a 7345 fuser.

Thank you very much for your answer. I finally called the Xerox consumables service. I was told that if the fuser needs to be replaced, a technician is sent out to the customer. The fuser does not appear on the list of consumables the customer can order.

I'm not sure who Xerox supplies it to but I do believe the customer can replace it. Two thumbs screws and pull it out and its done - making sure the machine is powered off.

Hello,

I would like to know if the fusing unit for the WorkCentre 75xx product family may be replaced by the end customer, like on the WorkCentre 7435.

The Evaluator Guide of this equipment lists the following Smart Kit® customer replaceable units:
– EA Ultra Low-Melt toner cartridges
– Waste toner container
– Fuser module
– Print drums
– Staple cartridges

All of these consumables appear on the following page :

except for the fuser module.

Does anybody know if Xerox does supply the fuser module directly to the end-user or only to the field technicians ? (I know the unit is quite easy to replace).
