When my work computer died and was replaced, my Xerox print settings changed and it was driving me crazy that the two-sided copies were coming out reversed with the three-hole punch and stapling on the wrong side. I had no idea that the orientation setting had changed! Thank you, mightymask, for your advice!!!
MightMask's advice worked for me. Everything in my Printer Properties was set correctly - but the issue came from the "Page Setup" tab. It was defaulting to Landscape - I just had to switch it back to portrait - (it wasn't giving me any issues printing on portrait other than the wonky staple). Hope I don't have to do that everytime.
What worked for us is to go to print the document. Check on the page setup. Make sure it's set to the correrct orientation. Ours was set to landscape when we were printing a portrait document and it put the staple on the wrong side.
Heya!
If the stapler is not able to move you do get an error code, so the stapler probably works as intended.
Have a look at THIS and see if you get it to work while copying.

Hi Kimzi,
Yes the same thing happens. I think it’s because the stapler is fixed in one position and the printer ejects the printed pages face down instead of face up so it staples on the wrong side. So I guess the question is should the stapler move along a rail or should it be fixed or should the printer eject the paper printed side up?

Hi again!
If you choose stapling when copying does the same problem occur?

Hello Kimmzi,
Thanks for the advice. I take it you meant the 180 image rotation as that’s all I see in the driver. But it didn’t work
Best wishes

Hey you!
Hmm the easiest thing to do is just turn off/on the print 180 degrees, on the printing settings just go to the advanced tab and select "turn 180 degrees" and see if that option is on, could be the reason.

Hi Xerox,
I have a WorkCentre 7830, when sending documents to be stapled. They are being stapled on the top right of the sheets and not the top left. The staple cartridge does not move from the front of the machine to the back in order to staple in the correct potion like the other printer we have 7535 does? Is the stapler fixed on this model or is there something wrong with it?
Thank you
