This can only mean one thing, its the line at the office thats at fault.

Cause the machine works at home, its great news though.

Getting things replaced in the machine can be a pain :P

I transfered the printer to a home fax line and reset its settings to factory defaults then tested sending out a fax to our office fax number on a spare fax machine and it was sending without any problem. Tried to receive a fax from the office fax and it was not going through. Back to the office the Xerox printer is receiving faxes nicely but an issue sending out with communication errors.

Will post an update about the results, i will probably sent the printer back where i bought it for an exchange if its singled out. Thanks for the support.

Then we hope its the line thats the problem, otherwise I suggest you call Xerox if it does not help :)

The line might be the partial issue as its a second line on our ADSL dedicated to the fax. So its not just a standard analog line. I have booked our Telephone company to test the line for issues. This printer is replacing an HP which was also failing to fax and scan.

I reduced the speed to 14kbs and also Switched it, disconnected the power cable and fax cable for more than two minutes. then connected and switched on. Tried sending a fax and it actually picks up the other fax attempting to send then the error 034-7xx Fax Job Failure comes up. When receiving you can see it saying receiving then 034-756 Fax Job Failure. The odd thing is there is a fax tone for both ends Recieving or Sending. can line contribute to this?

This is what I could find out:

034-712 to 034-727
Communication Fail
034-7xx Fax Job Failure

And as solution this is stated:

Initial Actions
• Lower transmit speed.
• Cycle printer power.
• If the problem persists, use the following procedure.

1 Reseat all connectors on the fax
Board, IP Board and the MCU Board.
2 Replace the Fax Board.

3 Replace the IP Board.
4 Replace the MCU Board.

If its a new printer, you should have 1 year warranty, call Xerox/your CCSS and get it fixed as soon as possible, as this seems to be an expensive story otherwise :)

This is a new printer that i am having issues with with fax. i only managed to send fax on ly once today then after i am getting fax erros 034-712 and 034-722. its not receiving also with error 034-756 on the display. What might be problem here please? as i cannot get the detailed Error Code diagnosis except its indicated the 034 are Fax card errors.
