Re: Workcentre 3225 makes noise when picking up paper from tray 1

Yeah thanks I tested everything and reseated everything and the noise is not as frequent now. It's still printing OK for now so i guess I'll just wait until it completely craps out, then buy something else (since a service call & parts cost more than a new unit). Sure would be nice if Xerox provided parts lists for the user-replaceable parts like rollers, etc. Thanks anyway! -Rich M. in CLE OH

Re: Workcentre 3225 makes noise when picking up paper from tray 1

Hi, RichM!

Do you have a bypass tray on the machine? if so try running from that, if it still makes noise I would try doing a reseat of the consumables (toner and drum). Just removing em and putting em back in.

You can have a look HERE.

Best Regards

Workcentre 3225 makes noise when picking up paper from tray 1

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi all! We have a Workcentre 3225 and it's almost two years old, mild to moderate use (about 22,000 impressions so far). The users are reporting a grinding noise when it prints. I checked it out and it seems to make the noise each time it tries to pick up the next page from the main paper tray. It's still printing OK without any paper jams so far but I want to do preventive maintenance on it now before something really breaks or goes bad. I did some research and I think it might have something to do with the pick-up mechanism. There is the "ADF pickup feed/roller assembly" possibly Xerox part numbers 130N01364, 130N01500 Or it could be "Roller-Feed" 022N02355 or "Roler ADF Feed" 022N02312. Might these be the cause of the noise when it picks up each sheet? If so, are these easy to replace? What do you all think? Thanks in advance! -Rich M. in CLE OH
