Try using the control centre for your machine, can be found HERE.

You will need to connect through usb, but you can upload the new firmware to the printer through this program.

Workcentre 4150 firmaware upgrade problems

Product Name: WorkCentre 4150

Trying to upgrade firmware .006 to .0071. Used network method with Chrome in Win 7. It said it uploaded patch file and then I recieved a 'printer busy' message in the popup window. There were not job pending and I just turned the unit on.

 

Thought about using non network method but I can't find the Copy Centre Printer Settings Utility. Anyone know where it can be downloaded? Its not on the xerox 4150 support page. Google search was not fruitful.

 

I think I have an old xp laptop somewhere. I'll dig it out and try the network method again.
