Unfortunately there is no other solution for the moment, so you must replace the hole scanner. It looks like the CIS that is present in scanner and DADF is custom made, until now I did not find anything else.
I have had the Xerox Workstation privately for 2 ½ years now. Scan function is now defective after almost not being used. That is why I tried to use Warranty after the warranty period because it is strange that the scan function is already broken.
I have now been talking to my supplier and Xerox Netherlands for more than 4 weeks. I can offer the Workstation for repair, but this will cost me 720 euros. The purchase price of the workstation was 350 euros at the time. This means that repair will cost me 2 x the price of a new device. Of course I'm not going to do that.
The device is like new. The printer function is excellent. An additional problem is that my display stays on as long as the error message is not resolved. The room where the printer is located is lit day and night because I cannot turn off the display. Every time I want to print, I now have to turn the printer on and then off again
Since the printer is 2½ years old, I am willing to pay a maximum of 175 euros for repair of the scan function. Both the supplier and Xerox do not want to accommodate me. So now I am left with a worthless device that I have to throw in the garbage as new. I am very angry about that and never buy a Xerox machine again and do not recommend that to anyone.
