Today 07.04.2021 same Device Fault. I bought this Printer at 25.03.2019 and two weeks after the guarantee expired this happens. The Tech Support couldent help me and sait I should look on the Forum. Iam was very pleased with this printer and than this happend.
Now i have got 400 Euros off Crap at home. The Guy from the Tech Support said that the Repair would cost me over 350 Euro.

I am also annoyed about Xerox. A college of mine bought one 10 month before I bought mine.
A month later his scanner broke with 65-225. 10 month after I got mine, mine had a 65-225. The Xerox engineer sad they break very seldom. Shortly after my college had his workcentre 6515 24 month it had again a 65-225. Now my warranty is over and mine has a 062-380.
Finally I think I buy it again. As long as it works, it is fine. Xerox doesn't earn money when when they don't sell toner (I still have more than 50% of the included toner) but have to send an engineer after one year.
Mine just ran into the same problem. What is interesting is mine is power off most of the time when not in use. It is also under a static protective bag when powered off.
The error code just appeared the other day when I needed to scan something and following the cleaning procedures didn't resolve the issues.
I totally agree with you… how could this topic have resolved its status? Ever since I had the problem with error code 062-380, I've seen the same issues arise with other users. There is something very wrong with the design of the scan function within a very short time the Workstation has become worthless. And every time just after the warranty period. I now had to buy a scanner especially to be able to scan.
Xerox has failed and left customers with a problem caused by the manufacturer itself. It is a shame.
NEVER AGAIN a Xerox machine for me. I will not advise anyone to ever buy a Xerox. The quality of service is way below par.
Most business at Xerox is likely to go well and generate sufficient profit. A reason for Xerox not to respond to the minority experiencing technical problems.
I bought the Xerox Workstation at the time because the brand had a good name. The reason I chose a laser printer was because I printed too little and my ink jet printer dried up every year. A laser printer does not have this problem.
After 2 years and 2 months I got the well-known 062-380 problem. I first tried to get help from the shop for repair. When the store wouldn't help me, I asked Xerox directly for help. Xerox wanted to repair the workstation, but it cost twice the price of a new machine. Of course I'm not crazy and I didn't do it… I'm really not mentally disturbed.
The printer itself works great. I'm still working on the supplied toner cartridges. To solve my problem I bought a small inexpensive printer/scanner from HP so that I can continue scanning.
My problem has been solved with this and as written before: NEVER AGAIN A XEROX IN MY HOUSE. Xerox is not going to help simple private users. The company is too big for that. We are not important.
Luckily, Dell got out of the printer game. I got my Dell 625 for a great price but it only lasted for year. Unfortunately, these Dells were re-badged Xerox. I would never buy another Xerox product again. In fact, I would never buy most of the copier/printers brands out there. Canon, Konica, Xerox, etc are not that reliable in my opinion. HP is reliable but buying toner cartridges will kill your wallet if going OEM. You can buy generic cartridges but good luck with those. I have had the best luck with Brother. Very solid printer/copier/scanner and the toner cartridges are cheap.
