I have new Workcentre with full support (service, cartridges etc etc). But, my OLD Workcentre was 7132. No support, I use it as spare printer.
Service contract of the 7132 ends about two year ago, and now I am printed off all cartridges. Reason printer is not important, I "use it until it play". Now I ordered some cartridges from ebay. Original 7132 cartridges, and I check, all numbers are same and cartridges are full and unopened. Technically I check also, I found it "circuit" etc, so look cartridges are really ok.
After change printer show "black 100 %". After some pages, "change black, empty, 0 %". So, full cartridge, and empty!
In my opinion printer is not broken, reason it work until cartridge (black) empty. I test this original cartridge- it not work. Then I make it "phew! Do not do it!" and I order "chips" from china... sorry, but with this cheap (but timewaste) way I found more important information. So: Printer does not accept any cartridges.
Any idea what is problem? I call local Xerox support number, and they does not have idea. My idea is, "this is device with old support contract. Even my new cartridge is full original and really right version, it not work. If I want replace cartridge, it must be any "right serial number reason of support contract". If so, how I can reset my printer? Any service mode and reset any restriction?
Printer is my own, and I can use it as spare printer... but this is problematic.
