Re: Workcentre 7500 series - dropping off network

Hi Bryan!,

Most devices are set to autodetect their network connection speed.  It could be a matter of the type of switch or hub not agreeing with the device upon the connection speed and this results in a "drop" of the connection.  To test, you may wish to set the Xerox device to 100MB / Full duplex (if your network supports this rate).

Regards,

Rob

Workcentre 7500 series - dropping off network

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

We have 12 workcentre 7500 series devices, the same 3 are dropping off the network at randon times. If I connect to the directly attached switch for these devices and then ping them from there they come back online otherwise a reboot is required.

I have alot of other devices connected to these switches, ie other 7500s, pcs etc with no issues. The lastest firmware is on MFDs also. I am assuming the network card on the 7500 is for some reason is dropping off the network. Has anyone come across this or found a solution?

Brian
