When a malfunction occurs, the printer shows the corresponding error status by means of the Error indicator and status / error code message on the Control Panel Display Screen.
The error code message is either a three or four digit alpha-numeric code. The Display Screen will toggle between two messages: 'CAUTION - MACHINE TROUBLE' and 'SERVICE CALL - (ERROR CODE). For example: 'SERVICE CALL 04' is displayed to indicate an engine malfunction.
