I have the same problem with mine, it is definitely not a driver issue as it does this even when printing the built-in test pages. I'll research around a bit and see if I can find a way to fix this. I'm guessing it is a sensor, gear that skipped a tooth, or maybe something to do with the rollers. Another symptom that goes along with this is that the page prints out of alignment, about 0.1" top to bottom.

John thanks,  but I have been advised by local Xerox authorized repair that the feed mechanism is probably bad, and that is a real problem with this and other similar printers.  Cost more to repair than to get a new one.  So I am annoyed, to say the least and have ordered an HP printer.df  No more Xerox for me.

Hello dsmith941,

 

Which driver, and what version, are you using?  Also, please let me know what version of firmware is currently loaded on your machine.  You should be able to find this information on the Configuration Report if you print one out.

 

Just in case...

1. Press the [Menu Select] button on the Control Panel to enter the menu system on the Display Screen.
2. If needed, press the [Right] or [Left] arrow button until 'Printable Pages' is displayed, and then press the [Menu Select] button to select this item.
3. If needed, press the [Right] or [Left] arrow button until 'Configuration' is displayed, and then press the [Menu Select] button to select this item. 'Print' will be displayed.
4. Press the [Menu Select] button to select this item. The Configuration Page will print.

Xerox 6120 suddenly prints too low on the page

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a 2-3 year old 6120 which has suddenly started printing as if there were a 1" or so margin at the top of the page, and then the bottom part runs right off the page.  I also get a paper size mismatch error occasionally, but I think the letter size is set right.  I dont have the problem with the same appls printing to my other printer.  I have tried resetting the paper size, reloading the printer drivers, etc.   I have tried it in Windows 7 as well as XP with the same result.

 

Any ideas I hope?
