I too am new to this FORUM and have an INK problem on a 8570N.

 

Our number 4 BLACK ink is down to one half an inch and we purchased BLACK INK.

 

The cube looks similiar to what was in there before but of course it is impossible to compare the old BLACK iNK with the new one.

 

It does fit into the opening but will not drop down the slide and position itself against the old remaing BLACK INK cube.

 

The new one will not be accepted and we get an error msg.

Looks like moving the bottom foot in postion "D" to position "C" solves the problem.  I read the ink melts at 100 degrees so a hot razor blade might work.  Has anyone tried this?

It appears that the ink has a slightly different placement of a "foot" on the bottom of the cube.  So far, I have not found a software way to override this problem.

We are in the same boat as you regarding the 3 max starter ink packs.

 

Did you find a way around this?

I thought as much, shame really as I have already purchased a few boxes of the starter packs.

Hey!

 

Only three starter ink sticks per color can be used, after this the machine will reject these sticks.

You will need to buy regular ones.

 

The part number that is given is the US ones, I guess thats because you're on the NA code.

Hi,

 

I recently purchased a Xerox ColorQube 8570DN in the UK.

 

This printer was preloaded with starter inks and also came with another box of starter inks, part number 108R00966.

 

I recently purchase another starter ink set of inks with the same part number.

 

I have now fitted another 2 inks with no isuues (Cyan) but when I fit a third ink the printer gives the following meaggse:

 

'Starter ink quota exceeded' please fit ink with part number 108R00926.

 

My questions are:

 

I assume that this is normal and is fixed on how many starter inks I can use. Is this right?

Can this be fixed in any way as I have now purchsed a few boxes of these start inks?

 

Also, the part number the meassge gives (Cyan 108R00926) does not seem to exist in the normal UK channels. All I can find here for cyan inks is part number 108R00931.

 

One last thing, the region code (on line 275 of the service usage profile) is currently set to NA.

I assume this is because I have not yet fitted any region inks into this printer yet - is that right?

 

Any help or advice regarding these issues would be much appriciated.
