Hi AlGo,
Yes, I actually did!
The problem was that my replacement hard drive wasn't partioned correctly. Someone wrote that the machine will make it's neccessary partions itself but it didn't for me at least... So I had to buy a genuine, pre-partioned hard drive. There is one on Ebay at the moment for $80 so I recommend buying that, and hopefully it will work.
I can't recall wether I had to reinstall the firmware after I changed the hard drive though...

You cannot perhaps share this SD-card image from Gabiene, Have the same problem on my 7800, also tried everythinh accept the replacing the sd card - but need an image or new card from xerox for that, they have pointed me to their resselers with no sucess
Hi. Did You resolve the problem about "Hard Disk: Not Installed and not printing Booklet" ?
I have the same issue.
Hi,
Could you elaborate on the procedure?
I put the HDD in place and have upgrade the firmware after that, but it gives me the "Hard drive: Not installed".
"When I got the parts I formatted the harddrive into NTFS and imprinted the SD-card with the image. Then I just replaced them in the back of the machine."
Is there any certain HDD installation process, and by software, do you mean the firmware?
It looks as though I am missing something...
Hi,
Yes, this is the procedure: install the HDD and reload the software.
Gabi
I may have celebrated to early:
The printer do print, so far so good, but when I want to print a booklet via the professional finisher it displays the text "Deleted" and nothing more happens. I did some investigation and on the configuration report it says "Hard drive: Not installed". Maybe this could be the root cause?
How do I "install" the hard drive, more than put it in place and load the latest firmware?
Hi AnCr,
Thanks for letting us know what worked for you. I am sure this information will help others in the future!!
