Hello Anyone that has had this problem...
I have FINALLY managed to solve this problem without having to buy a new electronics module.
It turns out that the firmware is stored on the HDD, so I tried taking the HDD from a printer that was working, and putting it in to the defective machine. It started perfectly, so I cloned the HDD on to a the one from the defective printer, and tried that one. Guess what.... it started fine, and the problem is solved.
I have now upgraded the firmwares on BOTH printers so that they are the same, and now we have no problem.
MUCH cheaper than a new Electronics Module from Xerox!!
I hope that is helps!!
Thanks for the reply, but sadly I cannot enter the Diagnostic mode to clear the error.
If I try, I get ar error 21,000.69.
I have checked in the service manual, and this is a "firmware version mismatch".
Does anyone know of a way that I can correct this without buying a new Electronics module.
If it helps, I have a second 8560mfp at home that works fine. If I need to take some parts out (temporarily) to get it working, I can do this, but I don't want to damage the parts from my working machine.
It there not some way that I can update the firmware to sort out this problem?
Thanks for any comments!!
Have you reset the ISC errors in the Service Diagnostics? That needs to be done to remove the error and allow the printer to power up without the error. To get to the Service Diagnostics, when the XEROX logo starts to move across the screen on power up, press and hold the BACK and HELP buttons at the same time until Beginning Service Modes appears. From there scroll down to the Function Menu, press OK and then scroll to Clear ISC Fault, press OK to clear the ISC faults. That should allow the printer to power up without any ink loader faults (at least until the next one happens!).
Hello,
I read the comment that you have left, and I was wondering if there is any way that I can solve the problem that you were replying to.
Basically, I have a 8560mfp that had the electronics module replaced (this happened approximately 2 years ago). About a month after the module was replaced, it had an ink jam, and I cannot get in to the diagnostic menus to reset the system.
I was told by Xerox (Belgium) that I would have to buy a new Electronics module. I cannot afford that, so the printer has been sitting in my garage for 2 years.
Is there any way that I can sort out this problem, as the printer SHOULD work otherwise.
Thanks for your help/comments.

Hello mattwilli18,
The second fault code that you're getting, the 21,000.60, is in the Knowledge Base for the Phaser 8560. It is specific to the UNIX or Linux OS which I assume you are running. I have copied a link below for you to look at. This article is for adding a printer and installing a driver on a Linux or UNIX computer. There may have been a problem with your installation so redoing it may resolve the issue that you are having.
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8560mfp/support/enus.html
When the web page comes up after clicking the link above, click on the Fault Code Search link just below the search field in the center of the page. Type the fault code that you get, 21,000.60, and click Search. This will display only one solution; the solution that I mentioned above about adding a printer and installing a driver on a Linux or UNIX OS.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue that you are having.

We recently had our Xerox 8560 MFP serviced which required a Hard Drive replacement about 3 weeks ago. Now we are encountering another error, error code 09,038.46, which I have read is a "Black Ink Stick Count Failure". I know how to go into the diagnostic menu to clear out the ISC fault to potentially resolve the issue, however when I attempt to access the diagnostic menu, I get another fault, 21,000.60, stating that the "diagnostic firmware does not match the engine firmware' from the manual.
Problem is, due to the first error I listed above, I cannot print any items and every option I have tried to put new firmware on the machine uses the print spooler service, which does not work since I cant print.
Any thoughts or ideas on how I can resolve this would be helpful...
