Xerox WC 3045B firmware problem

Hi

 

Xerox WC 3045B (produced on August, 2013) firmware was upgraded with firmware "WorkCentre_3045B_Firmware_version_SG3_XC_1.05(C1)" which was downloaded from xerox.com support page.

Sorry, but I dont know what firmware version was before upgrade - I have suspection, thas it was newer (higher) then 1.05.

I noticed unplesant change after firmware update - workcentre no more switching power off and in "Power Saver Timer" only

two options: "power saver mode 1" and "power saver mode 2" - option "time to switch off"is missing.

What version of "default" firmware is on device which are produced in August,2013 or late ?

How I can restore previuos firmware ?

Thank you for using the forum.

I noticed that in the WC Drivers and Downloads there are two firmware versions.  You have identified that you have installed the WorkCentre 3045B Firmware version SG3 XC 1.05(C1) which shows the date of Sep 11, 2012 for the version.  There is another one that is dates Sept 5, 2012 that is for the 4 in 1 model: WorkCentre 3045NI Firmware version SG4 XC 1.16c.

I have also copied a description of each of the firmwares.  Make sure you have identified the correct product 3045B or 3045NI.

 

Firmware update for the WorkCentre 3045B (3-in-1 model without fax).
This firmware update fixes the following issues:
• Changed the default TIFF type for scanning to TTN2
• improved the wording for some error messages
• corrected some branding issues

 

Firmware update for the WorkCentre 3045NI (4-in-1 model with fax).
This firmware update fixes the following issues:
• added a feature to disable the ability to update the WorkCentre 3045’s firmware.
• Russia Fax: DTFM value set to -3dB & ring sensitivity fixed
• SNMP supplies status reporting improvements
• Changed the default TIFF type for scanning to TTN2
• fixed a problem where the print resolution dpi was not reported correctly in CWIS
• Problem setting a password that contains special characters when creating an SMB address book entry in CWIS.
• Problem entering Russian characters in the “Printer Location” field in CWIS
• improved the wording for some error messages
• Data LED light should be on when a fax is stored in memory
• corrected some branding issues

 

I will have to see if I can locate the previous version of firmware that came with the unit.

This device launched at 1.16c, and that’s also the current version for the 3045NI device.

If you are still having firmware related issues you should call into support at 1-800-821-2797 if located in the US.

I have 3045B device, 3in1 without fax (as 3045NI). So, for my device was used firmware version SG3 XC 1.05(C1),which can be found there: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-3045/file-download/enus.html?operatingSystem=win8x64...

I have suspection, that firware version SG3 XC 1.05(C1) is older than was in my WC 3045B with date of production August, 2013. Also, I not informed before, this device was bought in Europe, maybe firmware differs depend on market ?

Thank you, but there locally no support at all. All downloads is redirected to US site, support forums are in US site only too.

 Maybe you are able only to check what version of firmware are set on newlly produced WC 3045B ?
