Re: Xerox WorkCentre 3335. Drum cartridge damaged

Have the same identical issue, replacing the 4th drum in less than a year. the damage on the 2 ends is outside of paper travel. This is definately drum issue, not debris or printer related

Re: Xerox WorkCentre 3335. Drum cartridge damaged

I have same problem with same printer.  what do you mean new drums dont have this problem.   i have this problem, and its 2 years after this post.

it happened to me twice.  after i replaced first damaged drum, it happened to the second one 2 months later (usually a drum lasts me almost 1 year).

is there a line of bad drums that i can make sure that the drums i have don't have this problem ?

Call Xerox again and ask for new drums due to severe pitting. This is a known problem and the new drums do not have this problem.

Re: Xerox WorkCentre 3335. Drum cartridge damaged

I have this same model 3335 in my office. It to has this identical problem. There is no debris on the drum. They are actual gouges or burns where actual pieces of the drum are missing. The ink builds up in those gouges and leaves black marks the shape of the gouges on anything I copy or receive by fax. I realize this may not be a warranty issue. I would just like to know how to fix it. Changing drum cartridges gets costly and I cannot be without it and I cannot have the marks on legal medical documents. I appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Re: Xerox WorkCentre 3335. Drum cartridge damaged

Definitely looks like the trays are not being loaded very carefully, that looks like contamination that got in with the paper and fed through the printer internals. Of course I'm just looking at pictures here, but it appears the service people came to the same conclusion.

The only way to make it a Warranty thing would be to show that whatever those things are, they came from something in the machine that broke, and that thing that broke would of course have to show no signs of being physically abused.

Hello!

Two printers have same problem. After 1-2 weeks of work both drums cartridge damaged. They have 1 and 3 big black burned points on surface.

What is the cause of problem? My service center says this isn't warranty case.
