Same reason your  PC/laptop disables Wifi when you plug into a LAN, it would be too hard to support.

If they were 2 of the same network, you would need to program which to use for each protocol, you can't go by speed because Wired is always going to be faster, which is why it always disables the Wifi on the printer, same with PC's.

If they were 2 different networks, somebody would do it with networks in the same range, meaning there would/could be 2 gateways using 192.168.1.1 as their IP, now which should it choose?

There are simply too many variables to support, so they stuck with what everyone else does, disable WiFi when plugged into a LAN.

I have used the app, and the ethernet cable disconnected ..then WiFi option becomes in printer panel but without ethernet option!

why can not use the Ethernet & Wi-Fi together, and each one of them has a different IP and settings?

Have you run the installation wizard (step 4 of the install instructions) off the CD that came with the kit?

If you don't have the CD that came with the printer, or the one that came with the kit, you can download the installer from here

Two weeks ago I purchased from Amazon "XEROX Wireless Networking Adapter (097S04409)"

and after installing the adapter I could not use it yet, because there is no "wi-fi" option in the printer panel and there are no other wi-fi options in the printer setup page, as in the manual (page 43~45)

* The only "Wi-Fi" option available in the "Properties" page is below "Physical Connection"
