I was able to perform the upgrades myself. I had to do this "manually".

Regarding having a technician to address this: I have not been able to find a technician who will work on this. Given the referenced article, it mentions "requires an upgrade to your device firmware". I believe the machine has never had a firmware update. Is there anything particularly problematic? I have performed several firmware upgrades to various technology components (PCs, Routers, etc.) Is this something beyond a person who has a technical background?
