One last update. Called in a Xerox tech who updated the firmware on the machine and did a couple of other things. The problem has been resolved.
Just an update on the current situation. It appears that just e-mails and PDFs are causing the stalling in the queue. When one is queued up it goes into a perpetual "processing" state regardless of the size.
first off my apologies if this question has already been posed before. I have a Xerox Workcentre Pro C3545 PS that is constantly prompting for On Demand Overwrites after Immediate Overwriting has failed. I performed an On Demand overwrite after hours yesterdat evening which took about 20 minutes and then test its functionality by printing a few PDFs with some embedded images. Everything seemed to work fine until one of our employees printed a 10 page PDF to it which brought on the abovementioned prompt requesting an On Demand Overwrite be performed and which halted any subsequent prints in the queue from being processed.
I looked around on the forums and it appears that the Immediate Overwrite prompt is a false positive notifying us that it failed when it actuality it hasn't. I went into the Event Logs on the printer and noticed fault code 9.456.00 and 12.910.00 are constantly recocurring throughout the entire log for the last two days.
My first question would be are these related to the issue with the immediate/on demand overwriting? If not is this indicative of a deeper hardware/software issue? Again, sorry if this is a redundant question but I'm not incredibly familiar with servicing large-scale office printers.
Thanks in advance for your time.
