alarm beacons

does anyone know if it is possible to connect a visual alarm beacon into a xerox 9303, so if a jam or paper out condition occurs it will flash above the printer to draw attention from across the print room?

or has anyone connected one into another Xerox model?

Re: alarm beacons

Hi

Beacons are commonly used on all types of machines to notify people of errors, alarms and other events:  see

Re: alarm beacons

Hi biffa,
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.

Xerox does have a customization division that may be able to help.

I would suggest that you review the following site

Xerox Offering Customization

"We can provide one-off solutions that satisfy a business-critical feature or function not available with standard products. Examples include end-to-end workflow or finishing solutions that may represent a competitive advantage. We can customize any of the existing Offering Customization solutions as well."

The Compliance, Accessibility and Vending tab has other similar type product solutions.

Contact Request Form

If you are outside the USA you should contact the local support center in your area which you can find here:

Re: alarm beacons

Well sure. If you have a pc check the alert mibs then when an alert is triggered then a light or what ever could be turned on.
This could work for almost any xerox machines.

If your really interested let me know I think a raspberry pi could power the whole thing.
