Update the printer firmware

Update the Fiery

Hope, because after these 2 options, a tech will need to reload it/them, we covered everything except a Firewall on the Fiery, but they (Windows Firewall mostly) break way more stuff than scan templates and a false error

I was able to execute that command (enter :E:" not "CD E:" to change to E: drive)

but it did not eliminate the check scan cable message.

This may or may not work, just give it a go and see.

Click Start and type cmd

Right click on command prompt, select "Run as Administrator"

Click "Yes"

CD E:

CD efi\server\system

nethelperapp.exe –setengif_ics

Last line of resulting text should read: Set Engine Interface – Success

 Close command line, reboot Fiery

OK I input those setting per your post, rebooted server and copier - still nothing

I did it again and powered off everything disconnected cables, let it sit a while reconnected and fired up - still "Check scanner cable" and no fiery templates on UI

Any other things I should check Joe?

Thank for your efforts sir

I believe that is the password, it was on the 560 family with Fiery

Check, It is very specific settings, they should match to these.

And these push the templates to the copier

When I got it extensible services were off, turned them on and the Fiery button populated and works fine.

It is entirely possible the default was changed. This machine came from an .edu environment so I suspect they werent using Fiery scanning etc
