Re: error 117-319

Jump to solution

I purchased this printer because I thought I was buying something that was built with quality in mind, a company that would stand behind its products. Sadly they only stand behind their products, when you hand them more money to fix their errors. Xerox as a company is no help without paying extra for a service contract, or an extended warranty that you must buy within 90 days. Contact a local dealer they should help right? No. Unless you buy the printer from the dealer and have a service contract with them. I have called every dealer in my area and no one can help. not even quote me a price to fix it. While I realize I'm not the target customer for these printers now, it's something xerox as a company should do better to make people aware of. Lesson learned and off to leave reviews on every website I can. I get so mad every time I look at this printer. So right now the paper left in the printer is worth more than the printer.

Hi GarciaJ,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Thanks,

error 117-319

Jump to solution
Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Windows 11

So my printer boots up and just displays 117-319. As I understand it, that means the OS/Firmware is corrupted. with this error, I can't get to the special boot menu unless there is another way of button-pushing.  I saw somewhere you can force a reload via USB but I haven't had any luck with that. So someone please tell me what I'm missing or am I just wasting my time.

Note: The printer was working fine last week, went to print the other day and it just said device error and locked up.

Sidenote/rant
My printer is just 3mo out of warranty, was going to call support and ask my questions, however, I will not pay $25 to talk to someone on the phone for a product I paid for. Let alone probably can't fix this issue over the phone.
