I see no one has responded to this post yet. I found this in the KB related to the issue you describe. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.

error message 024-972 on versant 280 digital press

Product Name: Xerox Versant 280 Press

I am facing a problem on versant 280 with external fiery EX 280. The problem is when customer sending a print job by dragging the job to hold queqe with custom size paper 230x330mm (The media properties  saved on the machine and selected in the job properties on fiery server are exactly same) either in SEF or LEF orientation, INTERMITENTLY THE MACHINE SHOWS THE MESSAGE AS " THE PAPER SIZE/ORIENTATION IN TRAY IS DIFFERENT FROM & THE ERROR CODE WILL BE 024-792 & 024-793 FROM TRAY 6 & 7 RESPECTIVELY."

And if i am cancelling the job and releasing the job again without changing any properties on fiery server as well as on machine UI, Tee job will get printed.

I mean this is happening intermitently and happening only when the custom is dragging the job to hold queqe.

Can someone help me for this problem.
