error message Maintenance kit is missing, but it is not

Product Name: Phaser 8560
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hi all,

having reinstalled my old MFP8560 it printed okay first, then started with "replace garbage drawer" without any need and now "maintenance kit is missing", even though I tried three available maintence kits to no avail. I heard about sensors that might need cleaning, where would that be? What would be the best way to go?
