In the GP8 Adjust Auto Toner Purge Setpoint page 6-19 of the General Procedures section of the Customer Maintenance Manual dated August 2007, it reads "(Refer to the Press Area Coverage Page on the Gnome toolbar.)"
I cannot locate this anywhere. Would someone please direct me to it?
I beleive this will allow me to read the toner coverage area of a PDF, correct?
The procedure that you are referring to does not, unfortunately, determine area coverage of .pdf documents. I personally do not know of a tool that will do that, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. The process that you cited is to adjust the frequency of occurrence of Auto Toner Purge to optimize for image quality or productivity according to your needs.
Best Image Quality - provides maximum color stability, best for critical jobs.
Default - provides a good balance between image quality and productivity.
High Productivity - provides maximum throughput, best for black & white and non-critical color jobs.
The process to make those adjustments is on the pages that you mentioned in your post. I hope that this information helps.
