Plugged 5755 ethernet into laptop - connected to server immediately! Tells me I need a different repair guy. Thanks for the help!
If the tech "reset it" He would have done an Altboot, which absolutely would have wiped all your settings, and that includes the IP address it was using, so if it has the same IP address he would have had to put it there, and if he did that and never got it to connect to his PWS, get him back there, he clearly isn't done. If he was able to hook it up to his Laptop then I would get looking at the port the other end of the cable is plugged into (hook up your laptop using the connection the printer currently is failing to use)
If it works for you and not the printer, get the tech back to do a Forced Altboot no data backup and make it is on the LAN before he leaves.
Tech did a full reset on 5755 & it no longer connects to server. Can't use Centreware. Msg says ensure network cables are properly connected but it was communicating before. it's a setting that changed. Now Workflow Scanning shows template "destination details" as File 0.0.0.0 on //0.0.0.0/. Default repository protocol was SMB before, now set to FTP. TCP IPv4 appears to be the same. Any suggestions?
