Re: network issue docucolor 252

I got mine fixed.

I had the exact same issue.

Google these guys from OB PRINTWORX

He handled the printer like a champ and loaded it up with a new fiery software and sold me a new light production finisher at a killer price.

I know they can help.

Google them.

Hope this helps ya!

Re: network issue docucolor 252

Did you ever get this printer back up on your network or have the network settings pop up again? i am having the same issue. Did the new software install but no luck. Still same thing for me. Just curious if you got yours up and running. Thanks!

Re: network issue docucolor 252

I would assume the Fiery is not booting, and if that is the case you can't select Network Scanning from the All Services screen as it would be greyed out. Same goes for Web Applications.

Neither of those would fail simply for a Network port issue, the SCSI cable is the problem, or the Fiery isn't booting.

Now if the 2 digit display on the Fiery during Boot runs through some codes, and assuming it makes POST, will stop at 00.

If it doesn't, you have a serious hardware issue. If it does, it is probably corrupt and needs to be reloaded. Not a simple task, and if you don't have the System software CD/DVDs you are going to have a real bad time sourcing them.

network issue docucolor 252

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have a Docucolor 252 with the bustled rip - it has worked fine for years but this week it fell off the network and will not come back online, even after multiple reboots and swapping to a known working network cable from another printer.

The network port lights up, but it's non responsive to a ping and the Network Settings option is no where to be found in the menu.  We've tried both the admin login password and the service mode login and have not found Network Settings.  From what we can tell it's supposed to appear on the System Settings screen, or on page 2 of System Settings.

Our 250 shows it on the bottom right of System Settings.  The 252 has buttons for Common, Copy Mode, and Scan Mode, and a down arrow for page 2.  We can go to page 2 but it's blank.

Any ideas?  Do we have a hardware issue with the rip and it no longer recognizes that it has a network card?

Thank You,
Kelly
