I'm after some advice please? I have a Xerox Phaser 6022-00000 printer (about 5 years old) that is reporting 'Replace Cyan Cartridge (B/W only)'. I have bought and installed new Cyan Cartridges from 2 different providers (one was printerland). On inserting the new cartridges, it re-calibrates and still reports the same error. Is there a sensor somewhere that needs cleaning? Is there a software process that needs to happen? There' are 4 gold rectangles at the top of the cartridge that, I presume need to make contact with 4 pins dangling down from the top of the cartridge port? As far as I can see they are making contact.
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Return the printer, or Exchange it, I don't believe Xerox will take anything back that is sold via retail. There is no point battling with a new printer, if you got a lemon you will be fighting it forever and regretting it. It's only done about 500 impressions so it should not be giving you troubles
I have all authentic Xerox toner cartridges, the printer says that at start up. However, the printer immediatly reports 3 messages in a row:
1) Low Density
093-922 Printer
2) Replace ________ Cartridge (Showing the color of the cartridge)
3) Restart Printer
I have gotten it to print a page here and there, but No matter what I do, I get the same error, but it keeps changing the color on the error mesages, ie Check Black Cartridge, Check Magenta Cartridge
The printer is only a month old. I've had such good results with Xerox printers at the office, but I got this one for home and haven't been able to use it.
Any advice? If I send the toner cartriges back to Xerox, who does it go to?? Do I have to return them to Amazon or to Xerox?
Thanks for any help, I would love to get this thing to print.
John
Toners have chips in them, so if it is a non-compatible toner it won't run.
If you bought the toner from Xerox, you just return the toner for exchange with a correct one, no issue.
If you bought 3rd party and it doesn't work, Xerox can't help and would have no reason to replace the printer or the toner.
I have replaced the cyan cartridge with a brand new one and the message will not clear.
I have powered off/unplugged for 10 minutes, reseated new cartridge and powered on
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer
I have cleaned all contact points and confirmed cartridge is seated correctly.
Printer is less than one year old, I am about ready to return it.
Please help! Isn't there a manual way to reset the cartridge statistics?
