I recently purchased an 8560 after my c2424 gave up the ghost. We have several boxes of the c2424 ink. It looks the same but does not fit unless I make slight modifications to fit. I was told it will hurt my new machine if I do this but no reason why. What is the difference in the two inks? Will it really hurt my machine or is it a purchase ploy? Throwing away $600 worth of ink is not an option.
