Re: randomly powers completely off

Gabi, I thought for sure we had it licked, but no, the stubborn thing did it again. The problem is if I want to print something and it is powered down, Windows 7 kinda forgets where the printer is so I have to power Windows off or reboot and then it realizes what the heck is going on.

Now this worked perfectly since I bought it. But when my son was over helping me interpret the bank accounts he used his laptop on the porch (covid 19 and afraid to conme into the house to keep me safe), he is sort of a guru, and found the printer and sent something to the printer. I never checked but it didn't print so there is an off chance it failed before that.

Now, I am again at that page talking to the embeded web server. 192.168.1.84    I have the settings of, (I didn't change them);

Low Power Timeout 5 minutes

Sleep Timeout 1 minute.

Auto power off = off  (that I changed last time)

Saved. and before I did this I did one of those master resets, unplugged it for a minute or so and re-powered it on.

Thanks Gabi, I appreciate you helping.

Re: randomly powers completely off

Thanks Gabi !

I just set it to not power off for now.

Too much on my mind, wife of 30 years passed away on the 17 of last month. She died in my arms. Heart attack, totally unexpected. CPR did not help. If you are the religious type, please say a prayer for Judy.

Thanks again, Gerry

randomly powers completely off

Product Name: Phaser 6510
Operating System: Windows 7

Hi, dam fine printer. But now it randomly powers off, or at least it seems random. Pain in the back side when you leave the PC on all the time and just need to print a receipt, guess what, the printer shut itself off and will not respond to anything from the network. Turning it back on will not help, I must reboot the PC.

Not much on the network, PC -> Switch -> Printer

I AM the only one in the house, no-one shuts it off. This just started happening. Heat related? Any suggestions?
