Hey you!

91,721 means Printhead Tilt Fault.

I suggest you look for ink spills or obstructions around the printhead, and try to remove as much as possibe, also reboot the printer.

If that does not work, I suggest you call Xerox for assistance as some part may need to be replaced.

Best Regards

Kimzi

Had to remove the Print Head and remove spills from under Print Head and from Circuitry as well.  Seems as if the circuitry may be fried too, thus a replacement of the print head may be required.

Hi again, Daleslie!

Glad you found the problem at least.

Even though it requires a replacement.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards

For 8580 (similar to 8570): This printhead tilt error can sometimes fix itself with power cycling. If it persists, you need to get into the service menu (return & help buttons pressed at startup), and go into the function menu to reset the error log. Then power off. Now empty the waste ink tray and remove and inspect drum maintenance kit (both accessible from door D), and return if nothing looks wrong. Try again. If still getting the error, before trying to take apart to get at the print heads to see if they need to be cleared of stuck ink or paper debris, go back into the service menu. Use the exercise menu to try exercising the drum and the tilt drive. We are trying to see if they fail, but also exercising them to hopefully free or dislodge anything that might be generating the error. We fould that the tilt drive exercise failed its diagnostic (which would generate the error), but by exercising the tilt drive, the unit was able to reboot and initialize back into operating mode without generating the error, and operate again. Of course, this might not work for most of you, but the point is, but using the system menu to exercise some of the relevant hardware, one might clear up the problem that generates this error without disassembling the machine.
