Re: xerox workcentre 3215 paper tray won't close

Hi Renshai,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please power off the printer and pull the tray out and look in the tray area to make sure there is no paper or other objects in the tray area.  Power on the printer with the tray still out.  Wait for it to fully turn on, you should get a message that the tray is missing or no paper. Load the tray back in.  If the problem continues please consider contacting your local support centre for additional assistance.

Thanks,

xerox workcentre 3215 paper tray won't close

Product Name: WorkCentre 3215
Operating System: Windows 10

My printer ran out of paper.  I pulled the paper tray out, loaded it, and attempted to put the tray back.  The tray is about 1/4 inch from fully seating.  The printer thinks that paper is there, tries to pull some up, then gives me a paper jam in tray 1 error.  If I attempt to seat the tray harder, it looks like it is seated, but when the paper tries to feed, the tray kicks out a bit, and I get the same error.  Any suggestions?
