hi,
we have installed 2 new xerox wc6515 models, both are giving error codes 016-433
i cant find anything about this code
also tried doing factory defauls on machine, it gives the error afterwards
everything works though, printing, scanning, just the annoing error code
see attached
016-433 = RPC call failed, only solution listed anywhere i find it is to reboot and if that fails reload.
Of course RPC is pretty generic, I'm guessing it will be an EIP issue, but knowing nothing of the environment I can't help much beyond listing what the fault means. I'd do a Wireshark and watch what gives the fault so at least you know where the RPC call is coming from or reaching out to.
I sourced the code from a co-worker (tech) who found it in the 5855 EDOC.
strange, bceuase it was giving the error already when it came out of the box :)
i think even with no utp attached, it will display the error
already tried factory defaults, also uploaded the new .bin firmware :-)
is it also possible todo somekind of altboot on those devices? :)
Not enough experience with them to know.
But they are firmly FujiXerox, so Altboot wouldn't be the right terminology.
today we received a versalink, turned it on, same error
This is very strange because there have been 0 reports in North America for this on any of the devices.
But, you have peaked their (Support team here in NA) interests and they are digging to find what the error could mean (not documented anywhere) and what could cause it. I'll update if they get me anything.
I have got the new VersaLink C405 yesterday and got this error too.
But the system was not enabled for metered Service and still in test mode with max 1000 pages.
Now i get the pin and entered it at the machine, then it makes a reboot and the error message was gone.
So i think it is the error code, that the system is in test mode and not activated for metered service.
Andreas
I'm still waiting for a response fro the Engineers on this matter, thanks for your input, that gets us closer to understanding until they do.
yes, our machines are still in 1000 pages courtesy mode too
so thats maybe the issue....
should be documented tough :)
but we wait for JOE
Hey now, we are not waiting for me, I'm just a lowly peasant passing info up the chain in this case. We are all waiting for a faceless/nameless Engineer to answer a question, that Joe (being a hero) will very promptly post for all to see ASAP.
