Re: 016-702 Insufficient page buffer for printing PCL at 1200x1200

Well...I was wrong.  I opened up the little door on the back, and the hard drive is already installed.

So...what is required to print at 1200x1200 with the C7030?  Is the Postscript kit required?

Thanks!

016-702 Insufficient page buffer for printing PCL at 1200x1200

Product Name: VersaLink C7020/C7025/C7030 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

Hello!

I have a VersaLink C7030, PCL only, no hard disk.  At least I don't think it has a hard disk...on the System Status printout, there nothing listed for the "Hard Disk or Other Mass" item. The System Status lists 4.00 GB RAM.

According to the spec sheet, this printer should be able to print at 1200 x 2400 dpi.

When printing graphics at 1200x1200 from Linux, I get the 016-702 "Insufficient page buffer for printing" error.  I assume there isn't enough RAM to deal with the job.

In Win10 using the Xerox Global PCL V3 driver, the "Print Quality" dropdown is grayed-out with "Standard" chosen.  Perhaps this is because because the driver can figure out that there isn't enough RAM to print at high qualtiy?

Would adding the hard drive option allow printing at 1200x1200?  Can more RAM be added to the printer? I didn't see an additional RAM option.

Thanks!
