Same here - the firmware update did seem to fix it, as expected. Thanks Tammy and the Xerox team for working to remedy this issue. Tammy, please pass along our thanks to the team.
Mine has not had an error yet either. But it was somewhat random (not a daily lock up). I would have to give it a full week before celebrating. Are you the person that said your office staff would unplug the printer every evening and plug it back in every day?
Mine is still working with the updated firmware. No LVPS errors since loading it. Fingers remain crossed.
Just updated ours. Will see how it goes. I know another user has reported success after the firmware update so here's hoping!
Here is the link I used.
Please stay in touch with us and let us know if your power supply solves the problem. Thanks much.
Yeah, I have to think it is some dumb "feature" from my company's virus management. Who knows. I totally agree with you and don't worry about offending me. LOL All good. It is good to be transparent and clear with communication in my opinion.
Tech came out yesterday an replaced the power supply.... I will update if this fixed it for me.
If not, I will try the firmware... is there a way to get it without calling in to support? I can't wait on their galatic hold times.. I got chit to do. :)
No offense, but that's crazy.
To download the firmware on the same computer that will be uploading it? How does the printer know this?
I downloaded it at work. Copied to a USB. Copied from USB to my laptop. Then wirelessly connected to web interface and applied the firmware upgrade. You have another issue going on. And this was on 8/24.
I found out why the upload did not work. Today I tried again because today's date is 8/26/22 and the firmware was also dated today's date. It did not work again. So I thought that maybe the zip file was corrupted from me copy the zip extraction from my network work computer over to a different machine. You wouldn't think that would be a challenge but it was. This is further info for others who may find the upload is not usable. You MUST download the link from the same computer that you will be uploading the firmware upgrade. Crazy but that made the difference. Coping the ZIP file over from one computer to the next corrupted the ZIP. Bizarre. By downloading the firmware ZIP file on the same computer as my Xerox web interface allowed the upload to recognize the file and uploaded no problem.
This all said I now see on the web-based interface for my printer the following under SOFTWARE UPDATE:
Current Version CXTZJ.081.212
Sofrware Update Available
Version CXTZJ.081.301
The .301 is the old version that I have upgraded. The .212 is the new version.
So the printer thinks I am now operating on an older version.
Clearly I won't 'update' my version but it is just something notable.
So you see the same thing on your interface?
I tried it. I did unzip the file to its .fls filename
CXTZJ.081.212.fls
Once I clicked upload it said "cannot determine te revision date of the selected firmware code"
I went ahead and clicked start and then it failed to perform the upload as an invalid filename.
Hmm
