I have some 5855's on a print server
The issue I am having is that when we send envelopes along with word docs jobs print twice. For example the department that is having issues sends a envelope and two word docs. The process is repeated 6-10 times. The copier prints everythig correctly but job set 1 and 2 will always print twice. We are using secure print with standard accounting turned on. I have watched the print queue and jobs 1 and two do not clear out of the print queue. 2nd level has been working on the issue since may. Not only the envelopes duplicate but also the word docs.

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have upgraded your firmware on the machine to the latest version. Also make sure that the number of prints id set the same in both the driver and the job itself. If all of that has been done then you will need to see if 2nd level can come up with any additional information.
Was this ever resolved? We're having the same issue with a 5845 printer and we've contacted Xerox 2nd Tier, upgraded the software, changed the drivers, and are still experiencing this issue.
I too have had the same problem. We use our Xerox, with an envelope tray in Tray 2. When the users print envelopes from Word 2007, they will sometimes get double prints. This happens when they print just envelopes. THey may print 15 envelopes and half of them are printed twice. I have had this problem escalated to the testing department at Xerox in their testing lab and they were unable to duplicate the problem. We have upgraded the firmware, drivers, etc. We have even brought in a completely new Xerox Machine and still have the same problem. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as we are wasting so many envelopes. Half of what we purchase goes in the trash, becuase it is a duplicate.
Has this issue ever been resolved? We have the same issue where I work. We currently release all the envelope jobs one at a time and once they are done we can release all the rest of the jobs at the same time. I looks as if the machine can print the envelope and other documents at the same time but then forgets it printed and reprints the same job.

My method would be as follows.
Check your current Firmware/Software, if it begins with 072, do the update yourself.
If it begins with 071, I suggest having a tech wipe the device with what is called a "Forced altboot, no data backup no clone"
This would entirely wipe the device though, every setting would need to be redone on it manually, the reason being that the 071 (Connectkey 1.0) to 072(Connectkey 1.5) involves some serious upgrading and changes. the address books, the fax system, the accounting and print engines are all very different on the backend, and may not play nicely in an upgrade.
Think of it like WindowsXP and going to Windows 7, or Android4.2 and just updating to 4.4, while it can be done and may work fine, you are better safe than sorry.

PS or PCL driver?
Global driver or native driver?
Windows or Mac?
How are you doing letters and envelopes in one job as your 2nd sentence implies?
What exactly is your setup steps inside of the application (Wordperfect)
What firmware do you have on the copier? If it is not the linked firmware above (latest) it absolutely needs to be above the 72.xxx.104.1480x version that this issue was last reported in.
It has not been reported in any newer release (072.190.124.23401 - 072.190.124.23405 - 072.190.124.32804 or the as of today current 072.190.124.05000)
So if your firmware is one of the above listed, please get us a "print to file" of your job so we can send it through a few of our devices in the lab, and attach as well a config sheet from the copier so we know what the setup is to recreate, as well as full recreation steps from teh PC to create and submit the job so we can also recreate that portion if need be.
