maybe you can try the global driver instead, lots of fixes are in the latest version : http://www.support.xerox.com/support/global-printer-driver/support/enus.html?fileLanguage=en

Ok, here is where it gets weird in a techy sort of way. 

1st, I looked up the Win 32 error codes as shown in the event log. The 1241 error code indicates that  "The network address could not be used for the operation requested" it also says that the network address is not correct, this is not true.

Then out of total frustration I re-installed a print driver, however I loaded the non-duplex printer driver thinking that the "N" description meant network. The "N" actually refers to the non-duplex feature. However, after loading the the non-duplex printer driver I'm able to print on the printer, but obviously  I've lost my duplex capabilitiy. I've re-installed the duplex printer driver which resulted in the same non-printing issues.

Theory, somewhere along the way an application has been updated (i.e. Google, Adobe, ...etc.) which has resulted in a software conflict. I've also noticed that the software/interface on the 2Wire ADSL modem has been updated, but I don't know when this happended. I've gone through the DSL modem/router menus and have not found anything to indicate any conflict issues.

Any new thoughts Fabio?

open up driver properties on the client/server, goto the tab ports, click on configure port change the radio button from raw mode to lpr mode, fill in queue name : lp maybe that helps

I have this problem on 3 PCs and the printer was in service for over a year. Nothing has changed, that I know of, in the network unless the problem is with the s/w on the printer.

This is a network based printer so I don't know what you mean by changing the port to lpr mode or raw means. What tools would you use to change this parameter on a network printer?

seems a spool issue or something like that have you tried changing the port to lpr mode instead or raw or changing the emf type?

The jobs get stuck in the client PC.

I'm assumng that you're referring to the event viewer under administrative tools. If so, here's a sample of the error.

"The document 2007 Vehicle Mileage Chart owned by user failed to print on printer Phaser 6180MFP-D-D10148 PS. Data type: NT EMF 1.008. Size of the spool file in bytes: 65536. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 1. Number of pages printed: 0. Client machine: \\DELL-GX620. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 1241 (0x4d9)."

whats the error you got on the machine? or is the print job stuck in the queue of the client/server? if so , whats in the event log?

We're no longer able to print to this printer from the 3 PCs in the office. This print has be in service for over 1 year without any problems. I am able to see the printer on the network as a valid device as well as find the printer using the Xerox Centerware 6180 browser based software and I can also print to the printer using the same Xerox tool. In addition, I can also print a test page from the windows printer properties menu, but not from various applications! Any suggestions?
