6204 driver crashes applications under windows 10

Hi,

I'm using this driver http://www.support.xerox.com/support/xerox-6204/file-download/enus.html?operatingSystem=win10x64&fil... with windows 10.  Every time I print from AutoCAD (2016) or Bluebeam (PDF software) the applicatsion crashes.

Yesterday I looked at the PCL5, PCL6 and Postscript drivers.  While they do not seem to crash the applications there are issues with papee sizes, so I am unable to use any of those drivers.

Is there a solution to the crashing issue?

Thanks.

Disable SNMP on the port.

Thanks for the reply but that didn't help with either application crashing.

Sorry then, I have nothing else, I don't have access to the particular printer, or the apps, so my installation was theoretical at best, installed the driver, pointed it at a printer IP (not even close to the same model) then selected it as the printer within Acrobat Pro and Reader, CutePDF, Foxit Reader, IrFanview, MS Word and had no issue, so the driver itself likely isn't the issue, and bi-di seems to not be the issue as SNMP would have nixed that. Seems specific to the applications you list, or the physical printer being on the other end of the port.

Try disabling this, but that is just a guess.

Not sure we are using/testing the same driver.  This zip file x64US320491 from the link I posted is what I'm using but my driver just says "Xerox 6204 Wide Format"  not Global Print Driver PS like yours.

Looks like you are using the Postscript driver, I'm not.

Using the postscript driver there are only a handful of paper sizes available in the application (AutoCAD in this case).  I see more sizes available in the printing preferences of the printer itself but those do not show up in the application.

The AutoCAD crashing issue has been solved by not using the system printer as the print device.  You create a PC3 (plot/print configuration file) file from within AutoCAD and specify the Xerox 6030 driver.  It seems to work fine.

Bluebeam on the other hand, must use the system printer and still crashes no matter what I do.

As for the Bluebeam issue using the 32 bit version instead of the 64 bit version 'solved' the prblem.  At least the 32 bit version does not crash.
