Thank you, but again this infomation is not helpful at all. The seperator roller assembly does not feed the paper from tray 2 into the printer, that is where my issue is. I have repalced the seperator roller assembly, as well as the 3 feed rollers in and around tray 2. In lieu of finding any useful information on the Xerox website I have found elsewhere online a service manual for this printer. I will in the future ensure that my company never purchases another Xerox product.
Hi bsumney,
Please go to the supplies page order the seperator roller assembly part number 675K74930. Once the part arrives follow the step-by-step instuctions I highlighted in my previous post. Instructions should also be included with the roller assembly as well. If you need additional assistance please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Thank you for your reply but it was absolutely not helpful at all. If you were to read my message you would see that I have attempted everything possible that is listed in the support guides. I have isolated my issue to one of the 2 rollers that sit above Tray 2 - I need to replace them, however this website does not list any information regarding replacing them. If I can't find an acceptable solution then I am done with using Xerox products forever. As the IT Manager for our company, I can guarantee that we will never purchase another Xerox product, the support is horrendous.
Hi bsumnery,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for a paper jam in Tray 2 make sure you have followed all the steps. Also try turning off the machine and remove the paper tray. With the tray out of the machine turn it back on. You should see a message that the tray is missing. Reinsert the tray. If it still jams you might consider replacing the feed rollers. If this does not clear up the issue please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hello -
We have a Phaser 6280 color laser that we have been happy with for a couple of years now. About 2-3 weeks ago we started to get periodic 'Jam at Tray 2" errors. I would simply open the tray, open the door and every thing would continue to work great. A couple of days ago we received the error again ... only now nothing clears it. Every single time we try to print we receive an error at tray 2. We are using 20 lb paper, and I have thoroughly inspected inside the machine and see no paper remnants, etc. It appears the machine is trying to pull the paper in as the top sheet in tray 2 will have 2 small smudges on it. The MPT tray works perfectly, but is a pain for day to day use.
Is it possible to replace the rollers that grab the paper out of tray 2 as that seems to be the issue?
Thanks,
Bryan
