Hi Gabi,
...indeed! We didn't check the most banal thing.
Than you

Hi,
What I observe is that you downloaded the firmware for Paser 6600 which is just printer and not for WC6605 (multifunction printer). I supposed this is the reason.
lp -d XEROX6605 /Users/user/Desktop/181029_p6600_stdxc/p6600_FW_201810291201.prn

Hello,
a strange issue trying to upgrade a 6605 firmware with MacOS 10.13.
When I open terminal and type the lp -d command to send the prn file to the printer like this for example:
lp -d XEROX6605 /Users/user/Desktop/181029_p6600_stdxc/p6600_FW_201810291201.prn
When I hit enter to execute the command it says that the requested ID is XEROX6605-random number.
As it adds this random number, the printer ID results to be incorrect and so the upgrade fails. I've tried to add again the printer giving it a different name but the problem still occurs as it always adds this random number to the printer ID.
What can I do to make it send the firmware file correctly without the addition of the random number? Is there any different way to upgrade its firmware (obviously without using a Windows machine)
Thank you
Kari
