7800 bad print quality

Greetings,

I've been having problems with the black prints on my 7800GX. Pure CMY are printing great but blacks and grays (including colors with K in the mix) are becoming a nighmare. As suggested in the troubleshooting guide, I cleaned the LED window of the corresponding color—repeatedly since I first noticed the problem—to no avail.

Please help.

What happens when printing in black?

"Becoming a nightmare" will not help us help you :)

I would love a little more information, optimal would be a scanned photo of the defect.
