It can't not be hardware then, you need service
I upgraded the firmware.. Still the same issue. The same thing happens when copying too, not just printing.
Could it be a hardware issue...?
If it works as a copier then the driver is wrong in some way. If it doesn't work as a copier there is nothing you can do in a print driver to force it.
So if it works for copies using the same stock from the same tray and the same amount of paper, then the wrong finisher is in the driver.
And if it is the wrong finisher, you can disable Bi-directional Communication (set to OFF, then click OK)
Then try with each finisher until one works
Now, if none work in the driver, and it booklet folds and staples at the copier, and the issue isn't just your 1 PC:
Update to latest firmware on printer and hope.
Have tech Altboot no data backup to the printer (complete wipe and reload to eliminate corruption)
As for the update:
Download and run the update tool
Download the firmware and point the tool at it
Use the attached pdf if you need instructions on the install
I appreciate your response! I tried using the driver you linked, with the exact settings shown in the image and am still getting the same results. I also tried the 7855 PS driver and still, same thing.
P.S. The machine is not equipped with the Fiery controller
Depends on if your settings are wrong in the right driver, or settings are right in the wrong driver. It is almost surely one or the other.
So use these exact settings in a job and see what happens.
If it works, the settings were wrong before, if it fails still, the driver is wrong.
It is also possible you have a Fiery on the printer and need to use the EFI driver and not the Xerox, you can check that by putting the IP address you print to in the address bar of your web browser, if it loads EFI Fiery webtools, you need a Fiery driver to use finishing properly, if it loads Xerox Centreware Internet Services, try the latest GPD-PS from Xerox.com
I'm trying to print booklets on our WorkCentre 7855 with a professional finisher... The booklets print exactly how they're supposed to, however they will not fold or staple, despite me telling it to do so in the print driver at print time. When I look under "Job Status" on the machine, it shows my booklet job as being "Completed With Errors: Job delivered to multiple destinations. Check other paper trays"..I should note that the prints are coming out of the right middle tray, and not the right bottom tray like they're supposed to.
Suggestions would be appreciated!
