8500 prints poor color

Jump to solution

Our 8500 prints color with too much black in all colors.  Printing with M S Publisher 2010 and Windows 7  Using any of the color controls renders NO change in the prints. Are we missing any additional settings?   Printed well with Windows XP.   Do we need a driver update, if so what one will we look for?

Thank you

Michael in Oregon

Hi Habitat,

Does this only happen from Publisher?  If you print from Word or another application (even a web browser) are you seeing the same thing?  What about internal pages from the front panel of the printer?

The latest Postscript Global Print Driver would be the recommended driver for this device.  Please go here and then select the appropriate operating system (Windows 7 or Windows 7 x64).

Hi Tim,

Thank you for the quick reply.  No, I haven't tried printing color from and other application.  I'll be at the Habitat for Humanity office next week and certainly give it a try.  I will also download and install the driver you recommend.  I'll let you know how it comes out.  I guess I'm better at hanging dry wall on 16" centers.

Thanks

Michael
