8550 Phaser printing bad test pages

My old 8550 printer was jist sitting so I sold it on Ebay and shipped it to the other coast.  I printed a couple test sheets and sent them with the printer.  I was packed very well.

The new owners cannot get it to print.  They did take it to a shop and wad told the 'print head' was bad.

Here's the question, could it be something else besides the p/head?  Why did I get sheets that looked good and they didn't?

Re: 8550 Phaser printing bad test pages

Hi apek924,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. If you did not use the specific instructions for shutting down the printer to move or ship it you may not have had the printhead locked.  If the printhead was not locked during shipping then damage may have occured.  You can have the new owner try the solutions for printhead not parked errors and see if that helps clear the problem for them.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,
